Trish is a post-doctoral infectious diseases modeller working with Professor Jodie McVernon at the Peter Doherty Institute for Infection and Immunity, University of Melbourne. Her PhD research focused on using mathematical models to explain pertussis epidemiology in Australia and determine optimal vaccination strategies for control. Further pertussis work since then has investigated the potential impact of maternal immunisation in different settings. Trish’s current research focus is on group A streptococcus transmission in Australian Indigenous and Fijian populations, work she is undertaking in collaboration with the Menzies School of Health Research, Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and the Telethon Kids Institute.
