Jamie is a postdoctoral researcher at James Cook University. She investigates ecological drivers of disease transmission in wildlife and people and uses those relationships to 1) understand spatial and temporal dynamics of disease spread, 2) predict outbreaks in the future, and 3) assess intervention strategies. Jamie studies mosquito-borne diseases such as dengue, chikungunya, and Zika in Sub-Saharan Africa and South America, as well as other vector-borne diseases and diseases that affect marine wildlife.
