Characterising emerging infectious diseases

Theme Leaders:

Human population growth and connectedness make us vulnerable to emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases. In addition, with widespread use of antimicrobial agents, drug-resistance is posing challenges for the control of many known infectious agents.

PRISM² researchers, working with a range of local and regional partners, will work to quantify and reduce the risk of emerging infectious disease challenges, and limit the impact of drug resistance on the disease experience of populations.
